How to use the Trixie calculator
Enter three accepted decimal odds, the cash stake and the result of each selection. The stake can be per component or the total paid. Press calculate to update the four-line breakdown. If your receipt shows fractional or American prices, the odds converter gives the equivalent decimal values.
Four bets from three selections
The components are A+B, A+C, B+C and A+B+C. There are no singles. At £1 per line, the total Trixie stake is £4; at 25p per line, it is £1. Choosing total-stake mode splits your cash amount between four lines. A £10 total gives £2.50 per component. Amounts such as £4.01 are rejected because four equal whole-penny stakes cannot reproduce that total.
Follow the £1 Trixie example
At A=2.00, B=3.00 and C=4.00, all won, the doubles return £6, £8 and £12. The treble returns £24. Together they return £50, including the returned component stakes. Subtract the complete £4 outlay to find £46 profit. A single treble at £1 would return £24 from £1 staked; that is a different bet and a different cash budget.
Two winners, one winner and a loss
If A and B win while C loses, A+B returns £6. The other double lines and the treble lose. The net result is £2 profit after all four £1 stakes. If only A wins and both other selections lose, no component survives: the return is £0 and the loss is £4. This ordinary model has no one-winner bonus.
What a void changes
Make A void while B at 3.00 and C at 4.00 win. The original lines return £3, £4, £12 and £12: £31 in total and £27 profit. The B+C double and the reduced treble both return £12, because each carried its own stake. If all three selections are void, all four cash stakes are returned. Confirm the operator’s void decision before entering it.
Do not treat an unsettled treble as money paid
If A and B have won while C is pending, the A+B double confirms £6. The conditional total is £50 if C wins at 4.00. Changing C to a loss settles the total at £6. Pending lines are labelled separately so you can distinguish a possible return from a final settlement.
Trixie compared with Patent and Yankee
A Patent adds three singles to the four Trixie components, making seven bets. Use the Patent option in the system calculator if your receipt includes those singles. With four selections and no singles, the Yankee calculator covers eleven components. Neither comparison establishes which bet is better; the total cost and outcomes differ.
What this tool covers
- Per-line or total stake
- Won, lost, void and pending selections
- A return for every original component
Cash win bets only. Each-way systems, free bets, bonuses, price boosts, Rule 4, dead heats and cash-out are outside this calculation. Returns are rounded per component to the nearest penny, with half pennies rounded up. Operator rounding may differ.
